Done right, and using Carol Gray’s rules, Social Stories are a supporting text with pictures that explain, support, coach and most importantly affirm.
Lynn McCann is the author of two books of Social Narratives, and writes Social Stories for many organisations and individual children in special schools and mainstream schools. This session will show you lots of examples of good social stories and why they were written. You will learn how to recognise a good script you can adapt for a child or adult you want to support and helpfully, what to avoid!
