This session aims to promote the essential role music can play in supporting a range of skills and learning experiences for children and young people with severe and complex needs. It will provide an introduction to delivering the new ‘My Music’ scheme of work which has been written to support non-specialist staff in enhancing their music curriculum offer and bringing the far-reaching benefits of music to the students they work with. It will include practical tips, strategies and approaches to develop confidence in delivering music for all practitioners regardless of their musical ability or confidence.
