Teaching My Thinking & Problem Solving

In a conventional mainstream curriculum model, cognition (thinking and understanding) problem solving (acting upon understanding) and even metacognition (thinking about thinking) would be placed within the general framework and context of everyday lessons. For those with SLD we are however, repeatedly baulked by memory difficulties, problems with generalisation, the desire to have a ‘productive’ lesson and the need to avoid issues of potential stress, in case it throws learners into dysregulation. My Thinking & Problem Solving provides a unique take on the necessary requirements for teaching those of all ages with SLD to successfully think and act for themselves.
