A flexible 14-25 PMLD/SLD/MLD Curriculum with optional accreditation which includes links to Personal Progress Units
Schools/Colleges adopting these Curriculum Schemes of Work can receive 14-25 accreditation that is awarded by EQUALS. This is assessed against clear standards. There is no minimum or maximum number of units for which a student may be entered in any one year. The accreditation scheme enables pupils to be assessed and awarded nationally moderated certificates.

Schools can also purchase the 14-25 PMLD/SLD/MLD Curriculum Schemes of Work on their own without any accreditation. One benefit of signing up to our annual accreditation scheme for Moving On, is you gain access to support and training and a network of regional moderators.
The one-year programmes cost £89 Members, £149 Non-members each.

Moving On is organised into five one year programmes
Globetrotter, Voyager, Adventurer, Traveller, Explorer

Each programme is divided into three areas of study:
World Studies
Science, Technology, Foreign Cultures, Creativity, Humanities
Independent Living
PSHE, Citizenship, Leisure & Recreation, Daily Living Skills
Vocational Skills
Work Related Learning, Careers Education & Guidance/Post School Planning

They are for students with a range of complex learning challenges, celebrating achievement that supports assessment for Entry 1 qualifications

Moving On Literacy, Numeracy & I.C.T. – New Revised Edition
For teachers of pupils aged 14-25 with learning difficulties.
This set of curriculum specifications is written for teachers of pupils aged 14+ with a wide range of learning difficulties,
including those with PMLD, SLD and MLD.

14-25 Accreditation – PMLD, SLD and MLD
The accreditation scheme enables students to be assessed and awarded nationally moderated certificates. For further information, please download the Teacher’ Handbook below.
Regional Training and Moderation Meetings
Support advisors/moderators co-ordinate a regional network for training and external moderation to those schools that register. If you are new to the Moving On programme or you wish to find out more about the accreditation, please contact paul@equalsoffice.co.uk
The dates for the training and moderation days will be published here towards the end of this term, after all the moderators have met in November
Registration
- You can register your centre for Moving On accreditation by completing and submitting a
registration form to EQUALS. Click here to download a registration form
Schools are charged an annual fee of £95 (members of EQUALS) or £249 (non-members). - You will receive the Pre-course registration form to enrol your students for Moving On.
- You will be invoiced separately for student certificates @ £1.95 per per Certificate, once students have been moderated and approved.

Moderation Procedures

Passport to Learning and Forms for Moderation
A Passport to Learning should be completed for each student entered for accreditation. Just print off or save the Passport to Learning for each student, read the guidance notes and complete. Take your completed forms to your nearest moderation meeting together with 3 examples of work for every ten students entered to be externally moderated. A postal moderation system is available if you are unable to attend a moderation meeting. There will be an additional cost of £49.00 – £165.00 for using this service (This cost is related to the amount of pupils where work has been submitted).
