These Schemes of Work have been written by teachers who have expertise in Special Education. They were currently teaching pupils who were working below age related expectations. The information has also been reviewed and critically reviewed by another group of teaching professionals, including Head Teachers and School Inspectors.
We hope that you will find the materials helpful when working with pupils who are achieving below the first two levels of the national curriculum and across all four key stages.
In writing these examples of good working practice, special consideration was given to the current mainstream and Special Education guidance at the time.
